The Symbolism
While reading through old journals and diaries, Samira came across many entries written in code. At nine years old, Samira Joy created symbols representing alphabet letters. This was a way for her to make sure her little sister couldn't read her entries. Because Samira wrote everyday in code, it quickly became easy to understand it. This code stayed with her all her life and still to this day, she is able to read and write her code easily. these entries made Samira feel like she traveled back in time deciphering as she read, which sparked the Samira's Code Collection.

Back of the Painting
Story
after a long journey through memories, the traveler finally reaches City Place, which holds The Time Capsule. Whoever acquires it, will have in their hands, the meanings of the Samira CODE.
Symbolism
The Time Capsule is the painting itself. It is made from the past and the present. this piece was originally created a little differently and it was entitled, City Place in 2018. Then over the years, the piece still felt unfinished to Samira. Until the idea started molding together for the third piece of this collection. Then it all clicked- What a perfect way to symbolize a Time Capsule piece than revamping City Place that was created in the past? After adding a pathway of clouds to City Place, it finally felt completed to Samira Joy.
